{{tag>:modules:module nonconforming oversized water bluff}} [<>] ====== White Cliffs of Micropolis ====== **Designer:** [[designers:Nathan Stohlmann]] **Designed:** February 2013 ===Designer's Notes=== To put it frankly, the White Cliffs of Micropolis is a hack job. It's a hack job I'm slightly proud of, but a hack job nonetheless. As we were rushing to complete a full set of modules to surround the existing Micropolis Gorge complex it became fairly obvious that we needed something relatively simple and straight forward that we would be able to throw together in time for the next displays. Completing individual standard bluff modules to fill two entire sides seemed unlikely so while Jennifer worked on the State Forest I took a crack at something even more simple based on the white cliffs of Dover, England. I had two intents for the design with the first being that it wouldn't be a flat slab of white brick, as tempting as that was with the few days remaining before the display. It also seemed like an ideal opportunity to use up a fair number of older white parts in a creative way where the abrasions and discoloration would lend themselves well to the model. With those intents I am slightly proud of the result, even if it is absolutely a hack job. {{gallery>http://bit.ly/2aklm7D}} [<>] ---- ~~DISQUS~~
