{{tag>modules:module conforming contemporary full_block tower}} [<>] ====== Tile Building ====== **Designer:** [[designers:Jennifer Heaton]] **Designed:** July 2013 ===Designer's Notes=== Over time LEGO has slightly changed the color of both its light and dark gray bricks. The problem with this is that the color only changed very slightly. The difference is not enough to be able to easily distinguish the old and new grays. However, it is enough to look weird if you mix up the colors in a build. In this build I took advantage of the color change by using the different colors to make the tiles blend into each other. If you look at the top and bottom of the building you'll see that the grays change color at the edge of the dark sand area. The hardest part of this building was getting it to sit at a diagonal on the baseplate. I used jumper plates, which works, but because the building is so heavy it comes off the jumpers easily. I often have to put it back together when I move it. I think this build turned out really well. The only thing I really don't like about it is the name. "Tile Building" is accurate but uninspired. If anyone has a better name for it you should let me know. {{gallery>http://bit.ly/17Dx2GJ}} [<>] ---- ~~DISQUS~~
