modules:smoke_building

[<>] ====== Smoke Building ====== **Designer:** designers:Jennifer Heaton **Designed:** July 2013 ===Designer's Notes=== There are a limited number of things you can make windows out of at Micropolis scale. You can use headlight bricks, especially turned on their sides. Trans plate works, as does trans brick. When the pick a brick wall at our local LEGO store had these trans gray bricks, I figured they'd be great for windows in a number of buildings. Then I started playing around with them and this building happened. It's a much simplified version of the kind of architecture on the Willis Tower in Chicago. Though it looks like a very simple build, it took me several tries to get the proportions right. I'm still not sure I'm completely satisfied with them. I would have liked to do a more complex version of this building, but I wanted to save some bricks for other projects. Then I immediately turned around and built the Minecraft Headquarters with the rest of the bricks, and now I wish we'd bought four times as many. [<>] ---- ~~DISQUS~~
