The buildings of [[http://www.emporis.com/complex/galtier-plaza-st-paul-mn-usa|Cray Plaza]] (originally Galtier Plaza) inspired this build. They have modern glass cores emerging from older-style brick shells. My building is less complex than the Cray Plaza towers, but it keeps the idea of the glass core emerging from brick. Building with trans clear bricks is different from building with other LEGO parts, because you can see through them in the final build. You don't want a building that you can see is empty inside; it won't look like a real building. So I had to fill the core of this building in with darker bricks. On the plus side, the filled core made this building really sturdy and easy to transport.
