{{tag>:modules:module conforming contemporary quarter_block}} [<>] ====== Octan Station ====== **Designer:** [[designers:Jennifer Heaton]] **Designed:** July 2013 ===Designer's Notes=== This was loosely modeled on our local service station, Park Service. Part of the difficulty of working at micropolis scale is making various buildings identifiable. How, for instance, do you make a restaurant look like a restaurant? You can't make tables and chairs at micropolis scale. How do you make something look like a corner store? An apartment? A post office? A school? A service station is very unlikely to have a 30 foot long wrench sign above the bays. But in LEGO it works because it makes it absolutely clear what you're looking at. In this build I especially like the tiny tow truck and the car on the lift you can just see through one of the windows. {{gallery>http://bit.ly/1bXoC4Z}} [<>] ---- ~~DISQUS~~
